The Layla3G is the third generation of the echo's Laylas interfaces.

The first version arrived seven years ago and has 8 analog I/O + SPDIF + MIDI and wordclock i/o, with 20 bit converters.

The second version (which I have) came with 24 bit/96kHz converters plus ADAT interface.

The Layla 24/96 is a very strong interface. Very nice converters, very good sound quality. The software interface is easy to install and use, and works well with WDM and ASIO.

I heard about the Layla3g few weeks ago. It's a good option for who is looking for a good cost/benefit device, adding some good things like the two mic preamps. The best new is that the price of the 3g is lower than the previous version.

There are so many new audio interfaces which makes the decision of the best choice a though question. But if you wanna a simple and good sounding interface, this can be a good deal.
