Pro Tools Instruction vs. more well rounded school
I have recently been accepted to the McNally Smith College of Music. I chose this school above the Institute of Production and Recording because McNally had performance and business majors to offer, meaning I would be around more musicians, as well as taking more classes on the performance side. It has also been around about 25 years compared to IPR's 5 or 6. They are both located in the Twin Cities in Minnesota, which is closer to home for me from South Dakota.

It kind of depends on what you want to do. All the audio recording software will do basically the same thing, but Pro Tools is the industry standard for music and movies, so if you plan on doing anything at the pro level, Pro Tools is a good program to learn.
Digi do some pretty sweet training course. They cost alot of money but you will get something that is recognized by not only them bust most of the industry
