orchestra live recording at bad acoustic environment

I will hv a live orchestra recording tomorrow, i just have a look at the venue today, it's defenitely not a good acoustic place for a orchestra recording (the acoustic design, the shape and son on)....

is there anything that i could do for the miking so that i could get the best out of it??

(I'm not even sure whether the conductor let me to have the mics placement in between the orchestra)!!

pls advice
