WHAT KIND OF COMPUTER IS BETTER TO PRODUCE AND RECORD?
I WOULD LIKE TO BUY A NEW COMPUTER....BUT I DONT KNOW WHICH ONE BUY.......I PRODUCE WITH FRUITY LOOPS AND RECORD MOSTLY WITH NUENDO....
ANY TIPS TO KNOW BEFORE BUY A NEW COMPUTER??.....

The main things to go for is a large hard drive, because audio files take up a lot of space - a lot of RAM 1G or 2G - onwe track of audio uses 10mb per minute while recording - a fast, powerful processor - audio software and plug-ins are power-hungry..................
If I could afford it and was to choose for myself I would go for a Mac - like a G5.............

all the studios ive been in have macs. Just the idustry standard i guess.
but important stuff is ram. I think hard drive space isnt as important because you should probaly use an external drive, just in case a crash.

Best Computer for Recording
The best computer for recording is going to be the fastest whatever you can afford, in terms of processor speed, and front side bus. Macs are the industry standard because most people in the industry are not tech saavy, and are too lazy to learn anything else. The Mac is NOT a superior platform for recording, there are vendors such as Rain who build amazing PC based recording computers.

Using a Mac will also give u the ability to change your processor sample rate. If you are using protools anyway. Id go for a Mac, Mine hass 4gbs of ram and that seems to handle everything i need to do with it
