Question of desperation...

OK well i'm new to this forum, and i would really appreciate some advise on recording drums.

First off this is what i have right now. I have adobe audition (Cool edit pro) and like 4 mics for my drums. None of the mics are any good right now and it would be great if someone could tell me which mics are best for drums. Anyway, I've been into recording for a good while now, and main question is, when i'm recording for drums should i record each drum seperatly, or in one track? Also when i record drums, how necessary are condenssors etc. for me if i record the drums in one track. And if i need them will adobe audition have the tools i need to make my drums sound nice.

Thats pretty much all the questions i have i guess, but it would be absolutly amazing if someone could give me some advice.

Well here goes. If you have the tracks then go ahead and record all on separate tracks.
As to mikes....Audix makes some nice "kits" for miking drums. Depending on what your budget is, 2 or 3 Audio Technica Pro-37R's work nice over high-hat and cymbals. I also like to place an AKG 414 above the entire kit to get a good overall from the kit.
Hope this helps some. Drum kit miking is all personal taste. You'll get loads of suggestions. Use them all and pick the ones that suit your style and ears.

Rock on,
