I just purchased an intel imac and i have a yamaha psr-292 keyboard. I conected the keyboard to my computer with the m-audio Uno usb midi interface cable. When i play notes in garageband using the sounds built in, some notes sound fine but i keep hearing low low keys being hit when im only hiting 1 key at a time. Basicaly the sound is realy screw up. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!?

Is dual mode turned on on your keyboard? If it is, two sounds play simultaneously with every note.

No. It's not that. In garageband i've come to realize that its just the lowest available note (c) being played on and off while i play. And the sustain isnt working at all. Is it possible that my keyboard is just not compatible with the usb interface? I really need help. I don't know much about midi, but could something not be assigned rite? One of the main reasons I got a mac is to record and it isn't working. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately I'm not too good with MIDI myself. There's probably a setting that needs to be changed in Garageband.

garage band isnt that great so it could be possible that the range of some samples and effect may only be and octave or two.
