Please help with Firewire Mixer recommendations
Hello. I've been researching firewire mixers for quite some time. And I've recently been told that these three companies have the best: Heath & Allen, Soundcraft and Yamaha.
But do these companies even make firewire mixers? The only one I could really find was the Yamaha O1X, and it's not really what I'm looking for.
I want a good quality sound, but not professional. I'm not looking to spend over $1500, and I'd rather get something around $700-$1000.
I need AT LEAST 12 inputs. I'd be happier with 16-22.
So does anyone know of any Firewire mixer, that matches these specs from either of those 3 companies? Or even from another company.
I don't want a shitty Behringer or Phonic, and I haven't heard the greatest things from Mackie.
Thanks in advance for any information.

Thank you.
Have you had any experience with Alesis? How do they compare with the Onyx? Or any other brand out there?

I found an Alesis I really like. However, I've read from a lot of people that there is no point in buying one, because their drivers suck..so the mixer hardly even works.
Does anyone have any experience with Alesis?

Take the plunge
Dude you just gotta take the plunge and stop worrying about what you might have missed had you chosen another path -
Just pick something and go with it - learn how to use it and you will get results. There is a lot to choose from and it can be hard to decide especially when it involves costs, but you won't get very far until you take some action.
Stop fretting..................................

I chose the M-Audio Project Mix. I should be getting on wednesday. It also comes with Pro-Tools. Definitely the best bang for the buck.
