Hello!

Are here some users of the alesis HD24 recorder?
Im doubting to buy it.
I slowly want to build a studio, first want to buy the hart of the studio, the recorder!

In what kinda setups do you use it?And why did you buy it?
If there are people who think they have a better recorder then te Alesis, tell me about it!!!

Thanks for info!

Greetings, D.Green

Hey! I have the HD24XR and I personally love it. I also use Pro Tools as well. But for recording my drums, I must use the HD24XR. The sound quality is really good. I have never had any problems with it.

Allright, thats good to hear!
In what setup do you use it?
Is it easy to overdub and punch?
Does it take long to import the files in the computer?

Many questions, hope you can answer them icon_wink.gif !

Ok! To answer your questions, here goes! icon_wink.gif Question #1: As I said before, I use it mainly to record my drums. From the console direct outs, I run into the HD24XR then from the HD24XR back to the console via the tape returns. Question #2: Is it easy to punch in and edit? Not as easy as I would like, but I edit mostly in Pro Tools anyway which leads into your third question. I use the Alesis Fireport (199.99) to transfer everything from the recorder into Pro Tools. It's alot faster than using the ethernet on the back. Hope this helps.
