Big help with 5.1 dolby Surround

Hello!

I need some help in 5.1 dolby surround. What I am looking is that I have music and vocals seperate and I need 5.1 dolby surround output in my 2 studio monitors.

I have Sony Vegas 6, Steinberg's Cubase sx3 and Wavelab5. What software and I should use and how can I do that icon_question.gif What format will be perfect like stereo or mono files.

I also have surround installed in my windows media player.

Thanks very much

I need 5 cylindars on my 2 cylindar motorcycle..... /sarcasm

If you want to mix in 5.1, you need 5 speakers. Front left and right, rear left and right, and center channel. You can not achieve this with only 2 speakers.

Hey thanks very much RHONE!

I 've got your point and completely understood. But just need to make sure one thing, if there is any alternative of mixing 5.1 in 2 speakers some how, I know it doesn't makes any sense but I just wanna be clear my self. If its necessary to mix in to 5 speakers then how I am gonna connect my speakers to my pc.

Currently I am using MIA MIDI which has only 2 outputs. I also have moto(2408) but its disconnected right now since it was giving me hanging problem while installing.

once again thanks for the info.

surround output

You gotta have an audio interface (sound card) that supports surround sound.

OR 5 channels (I configure my mAudio outs to 5 channel, mimicking surround).

You can not achieve 5.1 sound in 2 speakers, period.

Like I said, I want 5 cylindars on my motorcycle, but unfortunately there are only 2.
