Roland VS2000CD
Hi everybody
My face is new to this gathering point, it's great to find a forum of this nature. I have been recording in various different capacities from a very young age and have been upgrading equipment along the way.
I am in hard working retro rock band riddled with debt and have played in many of the major unsigned venues in England but have never been really happy with the super compressed, clean, plastic sounding recordings in commercial studios.
I have recently purchased the Roland VS2000CD with VGA support (pending VS8F-3 expansion) and have found it to be a very useful piece of machinary. I hope to use this to record my band and produce an album which can hopefully capture the sound of my band.
Does anyone have any opinions or experience with the VS2000?

I've got about 3 months experience with a Roland VS-2480HD. Here is a link to a song I did using only the Roland and a couple quality mics. The song is
"You Are". It took me about 16 hours by myself. (I had to do all the instruments)

Anyway, not sure what you wanna know, but I'm here for the asking. _________________ "Supporter of Independent Music"

The sound of your recording is real nice, how did you get on with the mastering tools on your console? Your recording sounded nice and loud, was this achieved by the VS2480?
I am in the middle of recording my bands demo at the moment, it will be the first project I record on my VS2000, I've recorded all the parts, just need to do the mixing now and hopefully it will be finished in a few weeks and I'll leave a link
