Before this, i use firepod as an interfacer, hook up with pc.

Now, i think, i wanna buy a used 02r (thats affordable compare to 02r96)... It seems powerful, but I dont know what it can do with the PC. can we control transport(rec, play, stop), directly from 02r?

I know, it has options for adat, tdif etc... and also mLan to hook via firewire. what can it do with computer via firewire? can it be a controller? can we use their effect as external send-return? i heard from somewhere, that it is not so compatible... i try to ask yamaha on their website, but they requested a serial number. Meaning, i have to buy first, then, ask them..

i want the yamaha 02r to do more than what an analog mixer can do for a computer recording...
