Have you checked out Native Instruments Guitar Rig?

i would go all the way for guitar rig 2. i don't have the new foot controller, still the old one, but this plugin would a lonely island one and i never heard any amp simulation which is better than this bitch!

when i was listening to the demos and downloaded the tryout, i ordered the new version instantly.

also there is a little button the rig which generally says "make my guitar sound really good and expensive" icon_smile.gif .. it is basically a high res button which calcualates the internal samplerate up to 192 or something like it. i am not sure but it sounds damn good.

V-amp 2

This isn't a software modeler, but I've been diggin my Behringer V-Amp2 lately.

32 amps, 15 cabinets, 9 reverbs, 16 fx...

you can patch it as an fx unit in your rig.

I am a fan of IK Multimedia, they have Amplitube for a less expensive choice. Pretty versatile, and I think you can get it for under $150.
