Hi, I'm a newcomer to the site, and so far, Ilove it. First let me tell you briefly about myself. I was born into a very musical family, where I developed a dedicated ear for music. I've been a musician my entire life 32 years. Geography (Mississippi) and lack of money kept me out of studios and without good equipment for most of it. About ten years ago I successfully recorded a demo with a friends 4 trax and that prompted me to buy an 8 track and so on and so on. Now I have 18 track digital studio with all the accessories. I read EVERYTHING and more importantly, I understand about 90% of what I read. My question is, what can a degree give me. I would like to have a degree (I know I dont know everything) but I am afraid I'd be bored stiff if I tried. Opinions are greatly appreciated.

A degree gives you much more than plain audio knowledge....

You should look at a degree as a general life-changing experience and not as an off the shelf product to fill the brain with "stuff" - does that make sense?
