Expression media college

Sound engineering or some related field is the only thing I've ever been interested in and have just been wasting my time learning and doing other things that bore the crap out of me just to make money. So now I'm going back to school and I'm looking at media schools in my area (SF Bay Area). One in particular is Expression. (expression.edu) I was wondering if anyone has the scoop on what the program there can really do for someone. I'd also like to hear any debate about school vs. interning or other means to work in the recording industry.

It's a good debate that one, and has varying opinions depending on who you talk to.

Everyone is very different and have differing ways of learning and approach differing subjects differently.

I think you yourself need to ask a question which is "what can I get from college", you may not know this though and it might take a term or two to find out, but I feel education in general is a very positive thing, which can delelope essential life-long learning skills, as well as many other good things.

You should not see the course itself as a ticket into a career, but as a means of empowering you on many levels, not just media and audio.

Thanks,

That's my take on that question also. I'm old enough now to know that school is the way to go for many reasons. I'm not looking for one job in particular. I'd rather have to education to be able to do what I'd like to do when that time comes and having as large of a knowledge base as possible is usually the best way to start.

Now my question would be...

Has anyone heard anything in particular about Expression media college? They look quite impressive so far. I'm going to check out the facilities this weekend. But I'd be very interested to hear from someone that has gone there or knows someone...that kind of thing.
