Portable recording
Hi there,
Spent some time surfin on mentioned subject.
I'm curious on u're thoughts on setting up a nice
portable recording pack.
Would a mp3 player suffice ?
Better stick to DAT ?
Interfacing to DAW ?
Wich Mic ?
Kind regards, John

It depends what you mean by portable recording pack. I have a small laptop case that carries a dell notebook, a usb mixer, and a couple of mics and cords. This is somewhat portable and fairly useful for recording in different environments.
Otherwise, I use my MP3 player, it can record from an external source directly to MP3 and I have gotten live tracks by just plugging into a mixer. Both Phillips and IRiver make models that can do this.

I'm checking this Sony PSP hardcopy. Let me know if you've used it.
