an obvious topic, which i havent seen on here yet. Which amp do you use for your passive monitors?

also, i'm looking to get a good amp (hafler, adcom, ...) but these come at a high price, indeed... i know they're worth it

now, i was looking at some Samson amps (servo 240, for example), and read some review on it, where it was said that theire cheaply built, and are not worth the money spent to buy it...

what are your view on amps, and recommendations, maybe...

Hafler stuff is no longer in production , so you might be able to get one used at a good price.... I use a P3000 to power my B&Ws....

The Samson stuff, IMO, is complete garbage... it has trouble with handling any sort of transients, and has a very murky, wooly overall sound. I'd avoid it.

You want an amp that can deliver a clean, tight, solid signal -- and simply put, the cheap stuff just can't do it.

how about the Alesis RA100, i know alesis has good products, i dont know about their amps, tho... theres one that sells for about 200,

i also saw some yamaha amps, i figure they would be suitable to power up a pair of ns10's, no?

or does even art (yea right) make good amps?

so many to choose from... maybe i should try them all...

i finally got my amp, a crown (which i forgot the model of), at 600 W @ 8 ohms, perfect for my ns10's.

the sound is all but colored, and gives the ns10's a real shiny sound.
