A NEW LEARNER

hello to all of you sir...

it's funny i read someone here with a name & intro that will sound
like mine icon_smile.gif

my name is SEAN and i too am learning to become knowledgable
in audio & sound techniques... I'm really a musician, Drummer to
be exact but also very much interested in Live Sound System &
Studio Recording stuff...

i've been handling church sound system equipments for years now
& also hoping to get a part time (Fri-Sat) job as an apprentice for a
recording studio while i'm still studying, but unfortunately my course
is sooooo far from the career i want.... I'm a 1st/2ndyr. ComScie
that shifted to BSBA-MIT because of certain situations.. but still, i'm
getting every opportunity to attend Sound System & Audio workshops...

I'm really excited to hear & learn from you PROs bout this ART that
i want to pursue... MANY GIGS TO ALL OF YOU!!!

Firstly I'm no sir icon_eek.gif ...

as you have been handling sound systems already, you are already and engineer, well in the making, it's just one big on going process that never ends.

Keep an open mind and fresh ears and above all avoid being too "restricted" in your thoughts. Approach things with excitement and you'll learn.

Just take one step at a time and try not to look for black and white answers, they usually don't exist in my experience.

There are several ways to "skin a cat" ... ...

hehe no no no... I'm a guy last time I looked...

But we use "sir" and "maam" to represent a formality that is NOT suitable on the board here, and definately not in a recording studio.

So dude, or guy, or you.. or AC, or whatever is just fine...

More female engineers would be good though!

Hey guys,

That would be me - a female sound engineer in making : )) Nice meeting you.

I'm new to the forum, just came across this web site today, but will be a clubber for sure. This place looks great.

Till later then,

Elena
