i don't think so

you want to take a completely mixed down song and remix it?

that ain't gonna happen.

there are some amazing things you can do with audio, but you can't separate out the individual components in a song.

a great instructor taught me that a recording is like a cake.
you add flour, and milk, and eggs and sugar and all that, but once it's baked, it's baked. you can't revert back to flour and eggs.

You can isolate each sound with your ears, but there's no algorithm that can separate them.

go ahead and chop it up and turn it around and over dub, but that's about it.

my favorite thing is to chop up a bunch of loops and totally twist the song.

you can add other synths or drum beats, dice up the vocals, use filter sweeps, re-eq stuff.

or just accentuate one of the instruments more. I like to beef up the bass.

I work mostly with rock. i think you said once before that you work with other synth and experimental stuff right?

filter sweeps are like using a wah wah, but with a low- or hi-pass filter instead of a peak. (done with automated EQ)

dice up vox: just cut samples out and make them sound wierd, make them stutter, stuff like that.

um, let me think... PRACTICE

yeah.

try switching to a commercial cd that is close to the sound you want and compare it to your mix while you are working on your mix. find what you like about each instrument and effect and what you don't like, and go from there.

ask him. I've never heard any of your mixes. If he knows what he's doing, spend as much time working with him as possible.

i learned by playing around. then I would hear about a technique and just try it. once you learn how to use your eqs and compressors, you just have to use your ears. listen to what makes a guitar sound good. is it the frequency balance? is it the distortion? an effect? then try and replicate it.

8 tracks of audio recorded playingback those 8 tracks and mixing
those 8 tracks they are playback in PARALLEL not in SERIES

Its like a break out box or 8 spliting signals so they are in PARALLEL
and not in SERIES

track#1 output
track#2 output this is the buss its in parrallel and the routing is also
track#3 output
track#4 output
