NOISE IN RECORDINGS USING DIGITAL HYBRID AND ADOBE AUDITION

Hi All,

I work at a broadcast recording agency, and we've been having a lot of trouble with the sound behind our mp3 recordings. We use a JK InnKeeper PBX digital hybrid connected to a telephone (Avaya), and then it's connected to our PC's and we record it through Adobe Audition.

The noise sounds almost like an interruption. It's fuzzy and almost blankets the person talking. Do we need to get a mixer to go along with the digital hybrid? Or what are we doing wrong? Could it be our telephone? Any set-up advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!!!!
