Stereo Field

My mix sounds good in my studio, but when I burn it to a CD, the stereo field doesn't seem as wide as it did. What could possibly cause this and what could I do to prevent this? BTW, I'm going from Pro Tools to a Masterlink.

Is it a digital copy from PT to the masterilink or any processing involved (including using the masterlink converters)?

If it's a digital copy try re-importing back to PT and use a null test to verify that they are they same, or not.

I send the song through the S/PDIF out (Digi 002R) into the S/PDIF in of the Masterlink. I'm using an Apogee cable for the send. I have not tried to send it back into PT. I will get another cable and try that.

You should be able to import the audio directly from the CD. One of the things that we are testing for is a clocking issue, so this would be preferable over a second transfer.
