general midi in Cubase SL

hi, i've just started utilizing my midi set up in Cubase SL, and i've gotten the midi plug ins working fine, but i'm having a tough time getting output from the general midi list...although it seems to be inputting fine.

i'm pretty sure i'm just missing a checked box or something small like that,
if anyone knows it would be greatly appreciated.
(ie ...port 1 input--> GM device output)
are you supposed to set up GM like a VST?

thanks!

kralik-

Hey just found your post and felt compelled to make an account on this site and respond. The bad news is, I'm not responding with an answer, I'm responding with EXACTLY the same problem. I use SL with a PC88mx MIDI-controller and I can get the signal to input fine but I can't hear it at all, and as soon as I hit record the signal completely stops inputting. I know you posted a while ago, have you had any luck finding an answer since then? My next step is to call up Cubase tech-support...
