Shure SM57 vs. SM58
i don't need anything fancy, just a simple mic for recording live vocals in a 2 piece band.
I heard that you can use the SM57 for drum mic'ing as well, which i would like to use it for but can this be used equally well for both vocals and drums?
Should i stick to the SM58 for vocals and just get a separate mic for drums?
Which one?

Yes, no reason why not, I worked for years in a band singing into an SM57 and the drummer had one in his kick too.
If you are starting you can't really go wrong with getting one, you can always get more in the future.
