Hi!

I'm trying to get signals from 2 microphones into my laptop. To get them in at the same time I tried using Line In and have one mic on the left channel and the other one on right channel. However, when I try to record using Audacity it seems like no matter what you do the line in is only left channel.
I don't think the Line In is mono because it has a pan-option in audiosettings,w while my microphone input is mono and cannot be panned.

So my question is, is there a way to get 2 microphone-signal in simultainously? And why is Line In only left channel?

I'd appreciate any help.

Yeah that's how it should work, you got the right idea.
How exactly are you getting the two mics plugged into the line in? some kind of adapter?
