CPR is a Cubase project file, not any form of audio. You choose export Audio Mixdown from the FILE menu to create audio files of different types.

Hi,

In the help menu there's an operational manual. It's a pdf so you can search the text for what you are looking for. It tells you how to export files and create a mixdown.

ciao

Not stepping on your toes of course BB, just being a tad more specific icon_smile.gif

Open the CPR in cubase.

In the File menu, chose Export->AudioMixDown then in the list of file types will be .mp3, since Cubase has a mp3 license.

A better alternative is to record it to a stereo track realtime, then export only that file, but that is your choice and you decide that on your own.

I have actually been having the same problems. I know how to do the Audio Mixdown stuff, but when i try to use the Audio Mixdown, it says i need to set the Left and right locators. What do those do, and how can i set them?
I already finished my song and everything, but the converting stage is all thats left.

Im using Cubase SX 3.

Someone please help.

The left and right locators tell Cubase the area of music to be mixed down, and there are 2 ways to set these.

The first is in the transport box (the little box that has play, record, stop etc buttons) and over on the left side you see "Right and Left" positions you can manually type them in there.

The other place, is in the main window where you actually see the tracks, on the top of that you will see little half arrows, you can drag these to the places you want. If done correctly, the music to be mixdowned will be highlighted in blue.

Alright, I'll probaly just use the left and right locator buttons in the that little box with play stop, record, ect..

what shoudl i enter for the time in each box (left and right)?

the length of the song is 4:25:19

I normally use other programs, this is all very new to me.

1. I am sure Cubase came with a manual, read it.

2. As stated above, you place the locators where you want, what portion of audio you want mixed down.

Yo, I have the same problem, only when I try to export it a message pops up reading:

A serious problem has occurred. Please try to save your song under another name and then restart Cubasese.exe. If this problem persists please contact Steinberg Tech. Support with a description of what you do to create this problem, and the created file C:\Program Files\Steinberg\CubaseSE\Cubasese.LOG.

I know it's worked before, but I really don't know what's wrong. Thanks.
