Midi in-out help

ok id like to start by saying that im a noob at this stuff, and ive tried searching google but havent found anything that can help me. im trying to make drum tracks through Battery 2 with drumkit from hell, and i want to create the map with fl studio but i cant figure out how to do it, i know i need to set battery 2 as a plugin, and im not quite sure what VST means. can someone give me at least a little bit of info to point me in the right direction? anything would be appreciated.

VST means Virtual Studio Technology, and it is a set of plugins from Steinberg. Lindstrom is correct, you need to set a folder called "Battery" (or whatever you want to call it) into the VST folder of cubase (Usually c:/ProgramFiles/Steinberg/CubaseSX/VSTplugins

Restart cubase, and it will read your 'Battery' folder as a plugin.
