Would Like to Go Legit
I have been a local Recording engineer and Producer for over 5 years now. All my money has been under the table. I would like to go legit but don't know where to start. What I mean by legit is pay taxes and what ever else it takes to be legal. I don't have a degree, not to sound cocky but I have Recorded over 100 different artists and groups and always teaching myself news techniques, so I don't feel I need one. I also don't feel it matters cuz I have and will have clients without one. So if anyone knows what I have to do to get myself self-employed as a recording engineer, please respond back. Thank You.

You live in the US?
It's really pretty simple.

Get a personal accountant. They will tell you everything and help you manage your money. They are very necessary and will protect you.
