I'm producer in electro - techno and I would like to ask you a question.

I have a home studio and my budget is limited, I can't buy hardware (too expensive) but only plugins.

On gearslutz.com, they recommended me to buy the following things to accomplish my mastering (with the budget which I have) but I'm not an engineer, only an insurance broker and credits who is passionate in electronic music.
Before buying these products, I would like to have your opinion as professional.

1) Détails :

- Sonoris (Eq, linear phase eq, dither, MS Codec, compressor)
- Voxengo Elephant
- JMS Audioware (CSG, Cue Sheet)
- Spitfish Dresser

2) I thought also about this config :

To produce Electro, I work with REASON 4 and ABLETON LIVE 6.0.10 -> I make my mxing with RENAISSANCE EQ by WAVES.

Which is the best configuration ?
I hope that you will answer me because I am lost with all this plugins.

Vincent with all do respect mastering is more than just buying software, the basic elements have to be there as well. If you don't have an accurate listening environment then you will likely be chasing your tail trying to determine good frequency balance for the music, likewise if your monitors are not full range, you can't master what you can't hear.

Unless you are planning on persuing this as a career or sideline, I would suggest that you find a good mastering engineer. The cost per project is likely less than buying the software that you mentioned, and you will get an objective and experienced ear that knows the methodolgy for bring out the best in your music. That said, the list that you gave might be used, but it's far from complete or of a professional quality.

What software do I need to buy to become an insurance broker?
