Noob Needs Help

I have a couple of questions

What is Channel Patching and why are there 12 "sends" and 12 "returns"

What is Stacking Inputs?


Any ideas... Im completely new to this

Channel patching hmm think best way of describing it is like this.... you have 1 mic pluged into the Input 1 (Trak1) on your desk....you want to record a seperate track on Track 2 without moving the mic from track1 so what you do is go into your settings possibly EZ Routing (maybe different on different desk) and you would drag the connection from track one and connect it to track2.....this allows you to record onto track2 without plugging the mic into track 2 on the desk.
