Hello everyone. Im in the process of making a kick drum mic out of the woofer from a Celestion Series 3 MKII speaker.I know this is becoming more common with NS10's but when the tweater went I thought I'd give it a try with one of these. I know the speakers were slightly coloured in the low end as they are "Home HI-FI" speakers but they did sound very nice when they were working!

How many of you have tried "making" your own mic's? What were the results? I think its a great area to find new ways of capturing certain sounds.

What do othets think?
