Panning the reverb

I'm a newbie at recording and was wondering if I should pan the reverb hard left and right on a stereo track or if it should be placed somewhere else. I'm recording the vocal on a mono track and sending the verb out to a stereo aux channel. Is this the way I should do it. thanks
Mike

That makes sense to me. If it works, and it sounds right, then it is right.
