USB or firewire?
Im a newbie here, and pretty new to recording. I'm looking to buy my first computer recording interface. I am trying to decide whether it should be a USB or Firewire. The only argument I've heard for either is that Firewire is supposed to be the fastest, but USB 2.0 is nothing to complain about. I'm looking at either the E-MU 0404 or the PreSonus INSPIRE 1394. I'm open to suggestions as well. Thanks.[/b]

usb vs firewire
USB is susceptible to jitter if recording several tracks at once (which is why you don't see USB devices that can handle more than 4-6 I/Os at once). Also you can cascade Firewire devices without slowing down bandwidth so much.
