i m planin to get a new mixer for my studio ... i have a 328XD Sound craft but i don't like it ..i get it used and it's like a piece of ****

my Q is if multitrack recorders r better ... or a regular digital console ...cause i never used a multi.... before

How much money do you have to spend?

not too much ... but first of all i want to know what exac the difference between the multitrack recoreder and a digital mixer if the multi can replace a digi mixer or not

I think it realy depends on what your using it for

okay im using my studio on recording radio ad's recording real instrument video and TVC dubbing SFX instrumental arrangement music & audio design and some rap , RNB song's producing

A digital mixer has no recording capablilities, it's just a mixer.... a multitrack recorder has no mixer, it's just a recorder.

There are some combination/all-in-one units (much like Portastudios), but they tend to be a compromise of features/sound quality compared to buying separates.
