Movable Sound-Absorbing Panels (Gobos)

I am interested in building some movable sound absorbing panels (aka gobos) for my home recording studio.

I was wondering if anyone has any tips, ideas, plans, experience with constructing affordable gobos. My goal is to decrease the undesired room effects and get the sound source to clearly shine through. I would place one panel behind the microphones and a panel on either side.

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Actually we just got done building ourselves moveable sound panels using 2x4 studs, 1/8" plywood and auralex sound absorbtion paneling. The total came to about $450, but we constructed 3 partitions. Two of the partitions were 4' tall by 8' wide with two smaller panels actually hinged together to form the partition. The 3rd partition was 7' tall with actually 3 partitions making up the total partition, the outside panels were 4' x 7' and the middle partition was 6' x 7' with a 2'x4' plexiglass window. The smaller partitions are used to house the control panel and to absorb reflected sound behind the main partition. If you want any more details pm me and I will do my best to describe what we did. Hope that helps!
