Difference b/w sound engineer and recording engineer?
I was just watching a show where they guy said he was a sound engineer and has a 6 figure salary. That got me excited lol. Well what i think is that a sound engineer can really work in any type of field that involves sound, inclucing film, t.v. and music. a recording engineer only works with music. Please explain it to me like im a 5 year old, if im wrong. which i probably am. thank you again. Well, i want to be a recording engineer because i love music and want to be around it. I'm probably going to Los Angeles Recording School in about 4 or 5 months. But if someone tells me that i can get paid to be more to be a sound engineer that would also be great. see im hispanic and i've been dating this american girl for the last year and in about a year im going to propose to her, "shes white". I'm used to struggling financially and not her, i dont want her parents to think im a loser. If someone could answer the top question it would be greatly obliged.

Audio Engineer, sound engineer, recording engineer, sound technician (Canada) all mean exactly the same thing - there's no difference between any of them. _________________ Bruce Valeriani - Mix Engineer
