survey only..

i know i posted about this before..but this time its only a survey...i would really appreciate if you just spend 5 minutes answering it..you can give reasons to your answer if you wish to..

1)would you want a mic that picks up from the sound source 100%?

2)do you think this mic is do-able?

3)do you think the mic would look stylish if there's a cone surrounding at the head of the mic?

4)do you think it would be too costly to afford one?(commercial use)

only these 5 questions..if you're not too sure how to fill in them..here's an eg..

1) close-mic'd sources already pickup a high-percentage of the sound source, so I'd say NO

2) in theory, possibly.... in practice, no.... the more focused the pickup pattern, the more the potential negative effect on frequency response.

3) who gives a rat's ass what a mic looks like? You hear with your ears (or a mic diaphragm), not your eyes...

4) define costly..... a pro studio buys the equipment necessary to acheiving the sound they're looking for...

5) highly unlikely, especially if the frequency response is impaired...
