 need help on making recording move

i have a br-1180 and adobe audition 1.5 on my computer but i'm thinking about selling my machine and getting m- audio's usb pre amp.(Is taht all i'll need with my adobe to produce a proffesional sound

M-audio mic pres are a little bit noisy. Listen to the model you want carefully.
