Need Help With Mixer!

Hey, everybody.
Im 15 and will do my work experience this year at a studio near where i live(I have dreams of being a recording studio engineer). During the phone call with them i let it slip that i was in a band and that we have a mixer (which by the way i have know idea how to use) and he said to bring it along and show him what i already know! D'OH! I have a Bardl BC - 80S.
It has eight channels and and with each channel it has one XRL output (i think there outputs. i dont know the dif between input/outputs) and the other is a guitar 1/4" output. So how can i plug it into my guitar (and if so where?) and make it mix the sound coming out???

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!
(i dont wanna make a bad impression!!!!!! icon_redface.gif icon_redface.gif icon_redface.gif icon_redface.gif icon_redface.gif icon_redface.gif icon_redface.gif )

wow... hmmm... if you are uncertain the difference between inputs and outputs, I'd probably recommend you dont touch that board until you read a manual. No offense, kid, but you dont want to burn a channel. Take some time, read the manual, if you dont have one, look online for it, if you still cant find it, then get back to us.
