i'm about to graduate from Full Sail w/ a Recording Arts degree at the end of september....i'm hoping to go back home to central pennsylvania, but i'm having a hard time finding any recording studios in that area

I can't help with the studio locating, but I'd be interested to hear about your course you've completed from a student perspective. _________________ Recording Studio Suntans

the recording arts course at Full Sail is amazing....the equipment is insane, and the instructors really know their stuff. when we have some down time, its great just talkin' to these guys listenin' to stories of artists they've worked with & things like that. they have some really great speakers come in all the time too.
they're not kiddin' when they advertise their school bein' open 24-7....many times i've been in school at 3am. but if you're really passionate about this stuff, then its no prob.
the school has these "Behind-the-Scenes" tours like every 3 months, i HIGHLY recommend checkin' it out if you're interested in the school....and if u end up attending the school, they will reimburse you for any expenses you had while visiting the school.

I edited your post as i'd rather keep the chat in here, that's the point.
You sound as if you work for Full Sail.
Also there are many contrasting views about the place, some very bad some very good, are you unique, were you in a class of several students? What types of assignments did you complete, did you get feedback quickly? _________________ Recording Studio Suntans

please email me with your questions about the school, my original post in here was to find contacts in PA for recording, there are other forums with posts about the school. we're kinda getting off subject here. thanks.

I'll leave this for now, but will not e-mail, the point is keeping discussion in here. Feel free to post any Full Sail gossip.
Good luck with studio finds. _________________ Recording Studio Suntans
