Hi there,
I was wondering if anybody with more expertise than I have could check out the laptops on music-pc.com and tell me what they think of the specs etc..
Regards, Nelly

Minimum sys requirements for decent recording setup
At LEAST a gig of ram (PC 2700 minimum), and depending on the type (pentium vs athlon) at least a pentium 4 2.4 gig, or an Athlon 3200.
Hard drive of 40 gig is enough to get started, as long as you have a cd or dvd rewritable drive to write to.
I don't think anyone here is going to research for you though... but now you know what is enough anyway.

Choosing the right PC for your needs is like choosing the right mic for your vocalist. Everyone is different. There are so many little details to getting the right computer. RAM and disk space are what most people look at, but there's also chipsets, buss speeds, hard drive types (IDE, SATA) expandability options, RAID capabilities, networking, ports... the list can go on.
