I Need Advice!!!

I've asked this question on the "Becoming an Audio Engineer" forum but I havent really found any answers that Im looking for. Probably because most people who read that forum are new to this industry as well. So I figured the best place to ask this question would be here, where I can get some professional advice. So here's my situation: I go to Florida International University in Miami and Im a marketing major. I can't stand it any more, and I can't ever imagine making a career out of it. Theres nothing else that a typical college can offer me as far as a path to a career that Id enjoy. So, Ive finally decided to stop screwing around and do what Im really passionate about: Music. I have the talent, skills, and abilities, now I just need to find the right school.

Since Im in Miami I was thinking about going to SAE-Miami, sae-miami.com. But I read somewhere that they don't offer accredited certificates upon graduating. They just offer in-house diplomas. Is this a bad thing or is it acceptable in the industry? Does anyone have anymore info on SAE-Miami?

Next I was thinking about The Los Angeles Recording School, larecordingschool.com. What I really like about this school is that their in LA, probably the recording studio capital of the US, and they offer a 200 hour internship as part of the cirriculum.

Another option is recordingconnection.com where Id pay for a one-on-one appreticeship with a mentor at an established and reputable recording company at the location of my choice. So, Id be getting first hand job experience while getting textbook knowledge as well. Also, they claim that there is a good possibility that the studio I train at would hire me. They also claim they have something like 96% job placement after graduation. However, I don't know the "inside" info about this program or how accurate their claims are.

Some other options are: The Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA, and Pyramind in San Francisco, CA. Ultimately Id like to go to Full Sail in Winter Park, FL but they are ridiculously expensive at $43,995 so thats not really an option.

Id like to stick to either Florida, California, or New York (as a last option). Any suggestions anyone could give me will be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Jay

You seem to have answered your own question, right? I mean you have considerable knowledge of each institution.

Also I should offer you an alternative:
http://www.audiocourses.com/school/ which you can do wherever you are.
