I am trying to connect my MicroKORG to my PC and use it in Acid Pro 5.0. I connected a MIDI cable from the MicroKORG to my computer's game port on the sound card. I have tried everything I can think of in Acid to get it to work, but I am still getting no response. I'm sorry I am being kind of vague, but I don't really know how to explain it other than: MicroKORG plugged into PC--does not work--anyone have any ideas on this? Basically, how do I make it so that Acid Pro 5 detects my synth and can communicate with it?

P.S. - Is MPU-401 the name of my game port?

MPU-401 is the name given to the gameport when used as a midi interface. It is a very old form of midi interface used since the early nineties (I think!) but most computers nowadays do not tend to come with them on the motherboard. Anyway I dont know much about ACID PRO but it should behave like most sequencers once you have selected the midi port and select the channel that the MicroKorg is transmiting on. If you only have the microkorg as a midi instrument I would select omni for the input channel. For playback make sure you select the midi port and channel as before. If you look at the bottom of the synth big black dials (selectors) the bottom of the two has the controls for which midi channel it transmits on(I also have a microkorg )
