Roland KR-650 midi help
hello, i'm having some trouble with midi's. i've never used them before. i am in this play and the director wants to use some sound effects (telephone ringing, toilet flushing) for the show. the keyboard (Roland KR-650) that we are using for other sounds doesnt seem to have those particular ones for some reason. anyway, how do i go about taking the mp3 file of the sound effect and putting it on a 3.5" disk in a readable format so that we can use the sound effects off the disk on the keyboard? does that make sense? i tried roland.com for an owners manual (we dont have one), but they dont carry it anymore. i tried using widi3.2 pro trial version to convert the mp3 to a midi file but it sounds like crap when i play it through my computer speakers. i assume it will sound the same through the keyboard, right? any help would be greatly appreciated.

okay so some people are viewing but no one is helping. why is that? here's what i need. the director, she wants to use a telephone ringing and a toilet flushing. she has a clip of each sound in mp3 format. so my question is how do i convert the mp3 into a readable format so that the keyboard can read it? i tried the trial version widipro but all of the instrument patches that are offered (or at least those that i found) completely take the authenticity out of it. what can i do about it? can i use widipro for this or any other software? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cant you just load the sounds into the Rolland and assign it a channel and key???
You MIGHT need to convert the mp3 to wav, and I am not sure about your particular keyboard, but it should not be too hard to set it..
