Condenser Mic Question

I'm fairly new to home recording and such, and i recently got a condenser mic, a MXL 992. i know it's not the best condenser mic out there, but it's somethin. Anyway, I'm also fairly new to condenser mics, and i was wonderin about somethin. I noticed that when i'm handling the mic, there's something jostling around in the mic, obviously the mic itself, but i was wondering, is it supposed to be moving around, freely, like that? the mic works fine, it has a great sound (i think) but it still kinda moves around in there. again, i'm sort of new to recording, so any help would be wonderful, thanks!

No - nothing is supposed to be "moving around" inside the casing.... take it back to the store and have them exchange it.

take it back asap if you keep it you may risk whatever is inside moving around damaging the circuitry and then your mic will not sound at all
