 TROUBLE WITH FX PROCESSOR

My rig: Terratec PHASE 88 soundcard, Eurorack UB2442FX mixer, and I run through Cool Edit (which I totally hate, any suggestions, had my eye on SONAR)

Anyway, I picked up a TC Electronics M300 processor. I can't figure out how to integrate it to the rest of the rig. If I do it through AUX sends and returns, I get no signal what so ever. Any suggestions?
