I just got an XPC music production station, running on windows xp, I'm having 2 major problems...1 the computer says it's unable to load the Mbox, because it doesn't have the software for it...and when i try to open pro-tools, it freezes when it get to "loading digirewire" and i have to restart my computer....any ideas on what is causing this and what i can to to fix it?

Drivers? Service packs?

Rewire is the subsystem that allows protools to use Reason as a plugin... if the above does not fix you up, go into the plugins folder and delete rewire (unless you have Reason, of course...)
