i feel stupid...ive connected a mic to the mixer input,master volume is up, mic is new,all other cables are connected. but why is there no sounnndd?

does mic have on/off switch? check preamp gain, channel input gain, speakers are connected to proper outputs on mixer? master out or monitor out? umm maybe bussing issue? what kind of mixer is it? do speakers need amp?

yes mic is switched on,input gain is up,speakers are connected. i guess its the bussing issue, im using the Roland VS2480DVD. or is it the I/O settings? if i still cant get the output sound,i'll post more in here..

ive figured it out after a few days of finding the answer,its the routing, since it is digital,not all of the functions are ready to use without clicking some buttons... so problem is solved! anyway unclejerr thanks for the concern, i shall post in here if i have more questions that bothers me..
