hi, im not sure if this is the right place to submit this, but anyway...

i m saving up for a good recording setup and im just not sure if i should get a pc or a mac, im going to be using the computer for 90% recording and a little bit of photoshopping, what would you recommend, and what specs. i should have about $3-$3.5 grand ( roughly $2300- $2700 USD) to spend.

ive been told by a number of people that macs perform better then pc as far as sound recording and graphics go, so im sorta leaning towards macs, but please anyone give me all the advice and info you can, big thanks.

Which have you used before? I'd say stick with what you know to date, rather than another steep learning curve. Having a fully tweaked audio computer requires good skills and those skills are better learnt on something you are familiar with.

Most of the other arguments IMHO are academic these days, although the PC seems to win for:

1. cost
2. higher saturation, therefore more availability of software

Just two points there to ponder over in the big one. Some others here I'm sure will have their cents worth.
