what im using

im recording with a 4 channel stereo mixer and live mic and my computer
whats some stuff yall think i should buy to make my sound more better are is what im using ok

You'll have to provide a LOT more detail than that.... the way you've asked is like asking a car mechanic what's wrong with your car and telling him it's a red car...............


What are you recording? What kind of room are you recording in? What's wrong with your sound now that you're not happy about? What gear, specifically, do you have? etc....

im using a compaq computer,4 channel stereo mixer with a live mic in what im not liking is when i recording my vocals i hear alot air in them i think its cause the fan on my modem running when i record from the sound card i hear this alot in i was wonderin is there anything to prevent the sound

i solve the problem with the insloation i bought alot foam but i still hear this sound

What's a "live mic"? And if the computer fan noise is an issue, then you're not going to have much choice but to isolate the computer (one of those Iso-rack jobs?) Use a dynamic hypercardiod (very directional) mic to minimize room noise (at the expense of not necessarily getting the vocals as clean-sounding as you could), or record your vocals in another room.

And when you describe something as having " a lot of air", that tends to be a good thing, meaning there's clarity and depth to the sound, so I'm not exactly sure what you meant by that (because of your negative connotation in using the term...)
