MIDI CONTROLLER
Hi All, I have recently embarked on the task of re-doing drum tracks on a project that some friends and i are working on.
I got my Kawai K4 out of mothballs, and my Roland JV1010 not quite as many mothballs.
I've been reading both manuals and trying everything in the world. At least to my 'OWN' midi challenged self, the K4 seems to not want to be strictly a controller. It says it's possible in the manual.......etc...
What is the most cost effectiive bonehead proof midi controller I can buy these days. 61 keys, non weighted. I just need to access my JV1010 and play onto a hard disk recorder.
So far, no luck with the K4 as I said. Any feedback is MUCH appreciated. Thanks!!

Hmmmm.....how did I manage to sign myself up as a wannabe?
Oh well, no harm. in this instance, wannabe is appropriate.

Off the shelf midi keyboard at about 25 bucks.
Or am i missing the point?
If you want specific MIDI instructions included you'll have to pay more.
If you had a PC you could trigger from that too.
And these sounds gorgeous: Kawai K4, yum! _________________ Recording Studio Suntans
