Welcome Friends, hope I find some help here. Let me be concise.

Gear:
I have perfectly good working Yamaha PSR 430 (the less silly version), Vivanco CK 12/5 MIDI - PC cable, fully working Midi/Gameport drivers on Creative Audigy Player (latest XP) (no driver conflicts).

The problem:
The keyboard cannot send signal to MIDI IN on the PC, but I can send data to the keyboard (MIDI Input is dead). The cable is brand new, bought at electronics store. I performed loop-back test on the keyboard and it works fine, I have check 3 MIDI/Game ports on different computers with MIDI OX and all give the same result (output only). I checked the cable for failures but it's OK.

I've searched many forums and sites on the problem, but no answer seems to be relevant for me. I'm quite advanced in the technical stuff and everything point to the cable as the main culprit, however I have never used MIDI interface before and it seems odd that a new cable is faulty.

I've also checked every settings on the keyboard and have KeyboradOutput: ON; MIDI IN plugged in to keyboards MIDI OUT and Remote Channel: 1/2, but MIDI OX gives literary nothing in the input monitor.

I'm an amateur so I'm not willing to buying a USB cable or just check the current with other devices (which I don't have), but your help, if by any chance possible, would be greatly appreciated. Hope some of you has a solutionto that uncanny problem.
